Basement Remodeling Project - Oakwood Hills, Illinois

Project Description: The customers live on Silver lake and have a wooded lot facing the lake.  They had an existing screened in porch that blocked the view of the lake. 

Project Solution: Scholl Construction added a large structural steel beam to support the exterior wall of the house and then enclosed the screened in porch, making it part of the living space.  We also gutted then refinished the lower level by adding large casement Pella windows facing the lake, a gas log lighter for the fireplace, electric baseboard heaters, a hot tub, a new bar, removed a dumb waiter and built closets to replace it, finished a bedroom, installed a new kitchen window, modified the kitchen cabinets to accept a new double oven, and resided the rear of the home.  The customers love the additional space in their home.  They have a pool table, hot tub, big  screen TV, Fooseball table, a stereo system, refrigerator, a dishwasher, microwave and a fully stocked bar.  The bedroom houses overnight guests and the new space is great for entertaining their large family and groups of friends.
